Modupe Olagundoye, She/ Her, CCC

A Canadian Certified Counselor with several years of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. As an immigrant, mother, and wife who came to Canada with children of different ages, she had to learn and relearn new ways to cope with her new reality. She can relate to some of the challenges families, parents, or single parents face as newcomers in Canada.

She is trained and well-versed in African Narrative therapies such as Narrative in the Suitcase and Advanced Tree of Life Narrative (TOL) with positive and effective outcomes with people of diverse cultural backgrounds. She is skilled in helping people build assertive communication and coping skills that can enable them to deal with grief, anxiety, depression, personal growth, parenting, cultural biases, conflict resolution, stress, anger management, relationships, and self-esteem issues.

Her approach is collaborative, trauma responsive and culturally affirming, which is helpful in reconnecting individuals with their roots, build a strong self-identity which helps affirm core values and combat moral injuries. MOdupe has a passion for helping women enjoy their sex lives and communicate their needs clearly without feeling guilty.
