Kakai Mabonga, She/Her, MA, CCC, RP(Q)

Trained in Tree of Life, Narratives in the Suitcase, and Racial Trauma Therapy. Kakai also integrates Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment-based Interventions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Informed Interventions, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and 2SLGBTQIA+ Affirming Care into her practice.

Based in Alberta, Kakai is a compassionate therapist who takes a client-centred approach, putting the needs of her clients first. She deeply admires the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek healing and strives to create a culturally sensitive and respectful space, particularly for the BIPOC community. Guided by a collectivist healing approach, Kakai works to empower clients and foster connection in their journey toward wellness.

Kakai is accepting new clients in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Yukon.

Outside of sessions: When not working with clients, Kakai enjoys experimenting with new recipes, exploring city parks, and discovering new music on Spotify.
